So, I found Theoi the Artist in Mistas. Boy that was a pain. Couldn't read what Theoi was telling me because I was under constant attack.
Now I'm looking for Hermes the Alchemist. I can't seem to find any references to Ank so I thought it might be the dungeon Ankh. I did find Hermes in there but he's a sorcerer, not an alchemist and he is one tough hombre'. Does anyone know if this is the correct place and maybe I just didn't find the right Hermes?

This quest is interesting and also a challenge. It will take you on a merry hunt through parts of Ilshenar and Tokuno. I am sure you found the correct Hermes. The pet dye you seek is worth the adventure (or is it the other way around?) *smiles*

I'm not sure if you have a Quest Journal so I put one on the Market Place vendor "Shiney"
It holds detailed information and where to go next on all the quests here on Traditions.

The pet dye you seek is worth the adventure (or is it the other way around?) *smiles* If that is the correct Hermes, shouldn't he give me the opportunity to "talk" to him? He immediately teleports me to him and attacks and, at least for me as a tamer, his physical attacks are devastating! |

I do have one but it doesn't seem to give any more information than what's available here on the boards. Maybe I'm missing something in the journal? |

It should all be there. when i get on tonight i'll go threw the quest so i'll be able to help you better.
players have dyed my pets/mounts in the past so everything should be working

Ok you were on the correct path Hermes is one tuff cookie.
I looted a red pigment that looked much like a rolling pin and returned it to Theoi.
He then want's me to go find the other pigments and the lotion bottle.

This quest is a challenge and in the quest journal is rated as "Advanced". For a tamer it should require a well trained heavy pet or a support group. Good luck and enjoy.
