Raising Blacksmithing past 100

Hello,
1) I've gotten my powerscrolls for blacksmithing, tinkering an a few others. 
Now is the time to work those skills up, but I'm finding that smithing wont raise above 100., I've tried most plate, spears= thats what various sites say, but not working.
Any help would be appreciated.

Royal Circlets 100 to 120 but it will be faster to kill some insurgents and buy skill balls.
I trained poisoning from 50 to 55 and used skill balls to 120 because of the time it was taking to make the potions and then poison daggers.

your going to burn threw a lot of iron if you plan on training it.
