Hello all, I played UO for close to 10 years and my brother and friends started playing this server so I have decided to try the game out again. I've been told the pvp is lacking so my normal parry mage build kind off is out the window now. So I was wondering if y'all could suggest a good fun viable PvM mage build. I enjoyed bushido mage and parry mage I also dabbled in necro mage and spear dexxer on real UO. I also would like to implement spellweaving into the build for my char on this server. Any help is appreciated.

Any route you choose will be fun and playable for real damage tho you will need slayer spellbooks.
Magery is and always will be the most viable skill in Sosaria.
Most mage pvm will rely on summons so constantly casting blade spirits and Energy vortex will work in most situations. other times you may need an army of earth elemental's.
Spellweaving: has a heal over time and damage absorption spell while Natures Fury will overwhelm most mobs.
the Dryads Allure can rival taming with the power of the charmed monsters but they will never bond.
Necromancy: has amazing survive ability once you acquire a full ancient incantations book. along with being able to banish demons and undead "this is a must for harder dungeons when you encounter a room full of Balaron trash mobs" you will also get a heal threw anything spell and another heal over time.
Any twist you add to your build will work here so have fun being creative.
1 Use the protection spell.
wrestle only helps verses melee so that barrage of magic arrows will always interrupt.
2 Abuse the Invisibility spell.
sounds cowardly but lets be real trash mobs only slow you down.
and dropping agro will save you and your party.
3 Mana Potions, Mana Leech and Mana regen.
Wraith Form with mana leech on a weapon is a great way to keep your mana full and dps high.

I'm only able to select up to 10 120 skills, so what do u recommend for the best for PvM mage build? It's been so long since I've played, ifnu recommend a build I will go for that. I'd also like a dexxer build, preferably using spear or tank. Thanks for everything. Appreciate the assistance.

For a dexer you should learn the ways of the Sampire build- Parry/Bushido/Necro
nothing else can hack and slash thier way threw 20+ mobs at a time like they can.
Caster you want Magery/Necro/Spiritspeak
the SS is needed for the new 120 skill set spells

What else besides those three. Sorry so many questions just been forever since I played. And what skills is the sampire build. And stats for both as well if u don't mind

It's difficuly to say exactly what's best.
Magery,Necro,Spellweaving all have real good spells.
The base for any caster will be.
High Mana High Health Low Dex
Magery 100-120 *There are new 120 mage spells once you complete the Medeis Quest.
Med 80-120 *This is not always needed because other methods of mana regen are available but it's always working for you.
Eval 120 or best *Because you dont wage war with bottle rockets.
Spirit Speak 100-120 * This skill can and will save your life if your near death and poisoned also it's a requirement for the 120 magery and necro spells.
Everything else you decide to add should be on your choise of play style and what it is you would like to do.
Necromancy 120 Incantations are extremely viable to both Melee and Mage

A Sampire is a Basic Melee Templete with Necro Parry and Bushido.
Necromancy for Vampiric Embrace "This adds Leech Life to your melee strikes.
Parry/Bushido for the 2 handed weapon Parry ability and a signifigent damage bonus.
Most importantly A 2-Handed weapon that has the whirlwind ability along with Life Leech and Mana Leech bonuses.

Thank you, I have went with a sampire build that includes chivalry as well. I'm on the journey of getting a good kama to support the build. I will do crafter next then finish the mage.
