I am up for big growing croweds and player communitys and I would like to see this grow pretty big. So I am thinking about starting a blog and possible youtube movies with our player ran events and such I need more imagination though so please drop a comment with ideas or anyone that wants to take a little time out of the day and work with me on this.

Anything reasonable we can do to promote the shard in an 'honest' way would be a real help. This could include screen shots, YouTube, blogs, Facebook and good old word of mouth to other gamers.
Shards starting off do struggle for a bit with population and our staff are doing all we can to promote us (short of throwing gold at it).
We have worked thousands of hours bringing UOT to the 'Opening' stage and are amazingly fortunate to have such a great group starting off with us so far.
So . . if anyone thinks of anything good . . count us in.
Meanwhile, patience, voting, bug fixing and constantly adding content is the plan.

Just a quick search of YouTube shows that many of the other shards already have a presence there and having one of our own could not hurt. I found this tool promoted by one of the YouTube links, I've never used it but it looks interesting and may be able to help you out in generating your video and making it interesting. Well I feel quite ashamed because I can't log back into my account named Nightbreeze. I know its been awhile and now that things have settled down for me I am finally back and looking forward to playing and running my shop again!
