Just a quick one... the fishing macro suggestion in this thread suggests hiding and then you can fish with no danger. I tried to do this today with gm hiding and i get the message 'you can't fish while hiding'... is this on purpose? Also, once I was targeted by a kraken, I couldn't hide from it on the boat. Is this typical of the hiding skill also? Finally, I tried to recall using the key of my boat to teleport there and it wouldn't let me recall from that, is that standard as Well? I'm sure I used to be able too but I've not played in so long I'm not 100%. Thanks for listening/reading!
You should be able to teleport to the boat by casting recall then targeting the boat key. This should work on the one in your pack and also the 'spare' key in your bank box.
Hiding is not possible while casting and reeling in line same as it is not possible while digging up ore and chopping trees. I always used Magery and/or Archery on my fishermen to protect myself from the dangers of the deep and the pirates that roam the oceans here. Failing that I looked for a buddy to fish with.
Ok, excellent! Thanks for clearing that up for me as always amairgen! 👍 Do boats decay after a while of not using them? Perhaps that's why the recall didn't work earlier?
Moving on to a different subject, and should be under a different topic but I can delete this thread after...
How do you macro the stealing barrels in arête? I have resigned myself to making a guild and stealing from a pack because I couldn't figure out how to get razor to steal the special armors. I tried absolute target and when I was successful in stealing, it wouldn't target the respawned armours. I tried target by type and relative location and they didn't work either. Any thoughts?
1) Yes boats do decay to keep macro run lanes clear after a time and also to keep spaces open at docks. The decay time is standard as I have not tweaked it one way or another.
2) If 'Target by Type' and 'Target by Location' are not working for you then I am at a loss to think of an answer. Others here may have solved that one. I would retry making new macros. Keeping the container open and using 'Target by Location' would be my guess.
