I have discovered that I cannot use a bladed item in my backpack to carve ribs, hides, etc from corpses. My main uses a kryss, so he can use his equipped weapon, but how do archers and smashers carve corpses?

A long time ago we made some script changes to allow weapons to be equipped simply by 'DBL Clicking' them inside your backpack. While that is a handy feature it probably is the reason you are experiencing this *guessing*

I ran into the same issue and discovered how awesome it was being able to click and equip. If you want a blessed dagger for skinning purposes let me know ingame.
