Do the dye tubs have restrictions based on age of account? I tried to use a dye tub in the Inn and it showed that I had 21 months to go before being able to use it?

I think if the time limit for being able to use them would be something beneficial for the sshard. Does not have to even be the time for getting them from rewards, but just the time that someone else is allowed to use them. We have a large base of newer players and I do not see it being anything that unbalances the shard or even hurts anyone on the shard

Are you referring to the Inn provided by the 'Order of Dragons'? If so then it is possible the tubs there are from the 'Veteran Reward' system and do have account age restrictions. There are also some 'public' dye tubs on the second floor of the Arete Isle crafthall. Those ones have no restrictions but do cost 500 gold per use.

Are the dye tubs, other than the ones you buy from tailors age restricted? I am talking about dye tubs like furniture dye tub, special dye tub, armor dye tub, etc. Are these type dye tubs age restricted? I am just trying to figure out if I have to wait 2 years before being able to custom dye things in my home. And yes, I have seen the tubs on the 2nd floor of the inn on Arete.

I think what Amair was saying is vet rewards one are age restricted. Those are in the inn, again I would have no objections to removing that. You could leave the requirements of getting them as vet rewards but eliminate the account age for using them.
However, the second floor ones in Arete are not age restricted and they can be used to dye furniture, armor, weapons, etc, but they will cost 500 gold per use.

Hopefully I am not coming across as contentious or disrespectful. I certainly don't mean to be if I am. I am pretty easy going but sometimes in message posts inflection means the difference in a misunderstanding of what is typed. As far as the dye tubs upstairs on Arete, yes, those can be used. Unless I am mistaken, those dye tubs are pre-colored. Those aren't necessarily a color I would use. If those specialty dye tubs are not able to be used for months or years, depending on the type of dye tub, that is very disappointing. I totally understand that the reward comes from the veteran reward system. It is pretty cool that it is similar to the original way of getting them. However, the system does differ in that while I may not be able to acquire one through the vet reward system until the appropriate time passed, I could use them and even acquire them if someone was selling them. While I can't think of a reason (other than it's scripted that way out of the box but no modifications have been made) as to why a player can't use them before being able to get one via the reward system maybe there is. Is there a possibility that this can be changed? I don't think it is unbalancing in any manner to allow someone to use them, even if they can't own them until the age of the account matures. Truthfully I don't see how allowing a newbie to own them is unbalancing either but that is not what I am trying to address. It's a dye tub that doesn't affect others in a negative way nor is it an item that gives a newbie an item like an artifact weapon. It simply changes the color of something. Waiting 21 months to change the color of a piece of furniture just seems a bit "over the top." Hopefully this is something that can be reviewed and perhaps changed to, at the minimum, allow someone to use these tubs even if they can't acquire one until the account ages. Unless I am really missing something I don't see how this is overpowering or unbalancing?

I am pretty easy going but sometimes in message posts inflection means the difference in a misunderstanding of what is typed. Your words and your input are fine. You are right . . how sometimes the written word can fail but you are no where near close to a problem yet *grins* If those specialty dye tubs are not able to be used for months or years, depending on the type of dye tub, that is very disappointing. Unless I am really missing something I don't see how this is overpowering or unbalancing? I do not fully disagree with your thinking other than possibly the diminishing of the tubs' value to the owners who use them to sell dyed items on their vendors. Also Guild leaders use them to provide colored items to guild members. I will not rule out the possibility of changing the tubs but for now I suggest you hire someone with a tub to color the items you are looking for. I understand this may not be a totally satisfying solution but hope it is a bit helpful. Cheers
