Not sure . . but the main problem would be not having our 13 custom game files included in our 'All-in-One' download package. Also our package includes the Mondain release so I am not sure how well KR would display the Mondain features. For sure you need our package to see our custom features.
If anyone knows more on this topic . . please share

I know this is my first post here, but I've been in and out of the UO community for years, and feel like I can contribute some information on why the KR/Enhanced client doesn't work here, so here goes: The KR/Enhanced client requires server-side support to work correctly, even if maps are left unchanged, due to differences in the gump system used by the new client. This isn't all that hard to implement, but has to be done by the server owners (afaik, no server codebase includes the needed changes by default, tho there are packages that provide it). On top of that, UO Traditions uses custom map/mul files. In order for these to work with the KR/Enhanced client, they need to be converted to EA's UOP format. I just did a quick search for tools to convert .map/.mul to .uop, and found that a reference to a tool to do that ( here), but that it doesn't correctly convert .muls from the common freeshard tools (dragon9, Mapgenerator 2) for maps. If the custom files here are the result of the RunUO/ServUO "freeze" command (i.e. only statics were changed), the tool might work, but I'm not certain. There's one other thing: IIUC, no currently supported client supports the .UOP format, so supporting the KR/Enhanced client going forward, even if it's possible, would require both extra work on the part of the shard's admins (creating UOP files), and extra storage/bandwidth for hosting both versions of the client. Not only that, but some admin tools don't support modern clients, meaning that dropping support for older clients may be out of the question, depending on whether or not the tools used by this shard's admins support modern clients. TL;DR: Support for the KR/Enhanced client is likely possible, but would require a lot of work, possibly including making compatible tools and/or fixing existing tools to be compatible with the new file formats that the new client uses. It's not something I would hold my breath for, at least not for this shard (it's more likely to be possible with shards that don't have custom content). -- arek
