PETS
For years the stables in the land have been randomly losing stabled pets. This has caused no end of frustration to both players and staff alike. Endless script searching and input from the RunUO community have been to no avail.
As a result we have made some changes to the stables and pets. These changes only involve all the usual pets (Drakes, Dragons, White Wyrm, Hiryu, Cu Sidhe etc). Evo pets remain unchanged and are stored by shrinking them with the use of a Pet Leash in the wilderness or a Hitching Post at a stable.
So . . this is how it now works:
1) Stables will no longer accept pets of any kind. Pets that are currently in the stable system will (with luck) remain there exposed to the risk of random deletion. If you take a currently stabled pet out you will be unable to return it to the stables.
2) New versions of the usual pets (Drakes, Dragons, White Wyrm, Hiryu, Cu Sidhe etc.) can now be discovered in the wilderness. These new versions carry the title 'Exalted' and can be shrunk in the same way Evo pets. The stronger of the new versions will be more common in Tartarus than anywhere else.
3) The animal trainers who run the stables now sell the Pet Leash (at a high price) or you can get one from a quest in Bedlam or crafted by a player Tailor.
4) The original version of the usual pets still exist to be tamed, used and then released. If you want a similar one that you can shrink to be permanently available then you will have to find one of the new 'Exalted' creatures.
