UO Traditions (UOT) is a private Ultima Online free shard that began development on August 01, 2010. It remained under development and testing until becoming publicly accessible on December 22nd, 2012 (over 6,000 hours of development time prior to opening). UOT operates non-profit. Donations and real money are not accepted. We are directed by our staff and continue to evolve through player ideas.
UOT is a 'Family' oriented shard designed to provide a respectful environment for people to enjoy the traditional aspects of the Ultima experience. PvP is only allowed on the facet of Tartarus (our version of Felucca) with its special quests, challenges and rewards. Having said that . . PvP has been very rare on our shard has never been mean spirited ('Griefing' people is not allowed). Meanwhile all other facets are spawned and available for non-PvP play.
UOT is a unique fun world with all the standard features plus a lot (really a lot) of custom areas, quests, dungeons, monsters and items.
