The Drow Dragons of Heartwood (the Golds and the Blacks) have changed.
1) They no longer chase you faster than your horse can run 2) They have a few new tricks up their sleeve but they are no longer almost invincible 3) They have much more loot than before 4) In addition to the chance of dropping an egg - they also have a chance to drop Drow Berries and Artifacts
Cheers

Okay . . .
First As I said in my PM to you in game . . . The Cu Sidhe you seek is in Twisted Weald.
The entrance to Twisted Weald is found in a small cave on the Ilshenar facet. To pass through the Magical Sparkles in that cave you must have completed the elven Dread Horn quest at least once.
As indicated on our website the evil Drow Elves have driven all the Good Elves out of Heartwood. The Good Elves (including the elven quest givers) have all moved to the village of Papua. Go to Papua, complete the Dread Horn Quest then go to Ilshenar and look to the south east for the Mushroom cave.
Second The Drow Guardian Dragons (the Golds and the Blacks) are powerful beasts that cannot be calmed or tricked with a musical instrument. They are seldom harmed by other creatures. To defeat them you will need to be powerful, clever and determined. Failing that you will need to hunt in a group or purchase a Drow Dragon Egg from someone who has done so.
The Drow Guardian Dragons do not always have an egg in their care and if they are killed it can take a long time before the Drow find a replacement. The Drow usually have five of six of these Dragons in the forest surrounding Heartwood. If they are gone . . there are several other things of interest there.
I hope this information is helpful.

Speaking of Twisted Weld, why do I get instantly attacked even when I don't have negative karma? In the past, it's my favorite place to go but I can't seem to step foot in there on this server. What's the trick?

Hmmm . . not sure why this would be different. *not by design* I will do some research on it. *thanks* EDIT: Okay I visited the Weald and basically the only thing we changed was the removal of the 'Champion Spawn' there. All else is pretty much 'out of the box'. There is a post under our 'Quests' board regarding 'Champion Spawns' but I will repeat it below for any who wonder about that. --------------------------------- Champions and the Harrower These are not designed for individuals. They are intended as group events requiring team work and dropping nice rewards and Power Scrolls. The Champion Spawns in UOT do not require staff assistance and are set up in private areas to avoid conflict with other players. They are all available (Abyss, Arachnid, Cold Blood, Forest Lord, Unholy Terror, Vermin Horde, Sleeping Dragon, Minotaur, Corrupt and Glade). When a Champion is defeated and the loot is gathered, players are expected to leave the area. Note: please clean up the remaining spawned creatures before leaving if you can or send a message to Staff so they can clean up ahead of others wanting to use the area. To access a Champion Spawn you must visit Roland the Paladin in Trinsic. In return for your help he will show you the Book of Skulls. From this book you can select which Champion you wish to challenge. After you make your selection Roland will open a gate for you and your party. He will also ensure you have enough Valor to start the spawn. Those not familiar with Champion spawns may be interested in following this link www.uoguide.com/Champion_SpawnsIf you have success with the Champions and obtain the Skulls required then we have the Harrower waiting for you. The Harrower is not a mere spawn that you go battle, he must be summoned. To do so, you must first collect the 6 Champion Skulls and place them on the Star Room altar. The Star Room is a somewhat mysterious room wherein rests six altars. Placing a Champion Skull obtained from each of the six Champions will open a black gate leading to the dungeon where the Harrower may be found. A gateway to the Star Room is found deep within the Terathan Keep.

Thanks for the reply! It is much appreciated!
In case I targeted the cusidhe earlier by mistake when on my archer, I just went back to TW with a different character type, a crafter, and the same thing happened. This character's karma is neutral since she has done nothing to gain nor lose it. Both the cusidhe's as well as swoop immediately aggro'd her. I enjoy TW because I like to kill changelings as they are just mean ;p and would eventually like to tame a cusidhe otherwise, I have never actually done a champ spawn. Would seeing Roland the Paladin be a step I am missing to enter TW and not receive arggo? Do I need to get higher karma? My archer's isn't that high as she's only killed some ogres, trolls and smaller stuff so perhaps that's why she was attacked? Apologies for being a pain in the butt!

There are in fact a 'very few' creatures who will only attack negative karma but for the most part monsters are monsters and the 'vast majority' will attack you regardless of your karma.
Roland has nothing to do with Twisted Weald. This is how Roland and the Champion spawns work here: "If you (or a group) seek high adventure talk to Roland at the Paladin's guild in Trinsic near the Travel Coach and stable. To gain Roland's favor your group will need to find the three 'Essences of Life' he requires. The 'Essences' are held by helpers of the Harrower in various dungeons. You never know which three dungeons you will need to visit but Roland will point the way. When you give Roland the Essences he will open a Champion Gate for you to the Champion of your choice."
I hope this helps.

I thank you for trying and I wish it did help but all I need is to find out is if there is a way to play in Twisted Weld without being attacked on sight, for no reason, by the cusidhe's, swoop, dryads and satyrs as these have always been non-aggressive on the production shards unless attacked first (cusidhe's will also become aggressive with taming attempts up until a successful tame completes). Changelings and the creatures further in have always attack on sight. If that is not how it is intended on Traditions, then, I guess it is what it is and I will find a new creature to hate on, lol.

. . . I need is to find out is if there is a way to play in Twisted Weld without being attacked on sight, for no reason, by the cusidhe's, swoop, dryads and satyrs as these have always been non-aggressive on the production shards unless attacked first . . . Not sure this will help or not . . . I stopped playing productions shards in the late 90's and moved to the realm of Freeshards. I played many of them before creating UO-Traditions. Yes . . Pixies are only aggressive to negative karma but the CuSidhe, Swoop, Changelings and Satyrs are now and always have been set to attack any player, pet or summons within sight. I don't know if the folks who took over UO-Online decided to change those creatures or if some of the freeshards I have not played did a similar change. I can only say that those creatures on our shard are traditional to the original game and come to us 'right out of the box'. I will say from my days as a player that Twisted Weald was always a challenge and took me time to adjust my tactics. Making it through to Dreadhorn was always trickier than Dreadhorn himself. I do not anticipate major changes to the Weald but if it helps I could look at adding some pixies near the starting area and maybe moving Swoop and the Changelings back a bit. Other than that it will remain traditional. Thanks for your input . . always appreciated.

Thanks, I appreciate what you do for and the limits you set for the game/server.
