Hi,
While I was in bed - something related to the 'Toolbar' caused the server to crash. If anyone can recall what they were doing with the 'Toolbar' when it happened, please send me a PM in game or a PM on the Forum. Thanks - I am working on it to avoid this in the future.
meanwhile some of the changes sitting in the wings . . went in when the serve came back up. As a result we may not bother rebooting tomorrow morning.
Here is what is New:
1) The Taxus Long Bow of old is no longer repairable. They can be used until they fall apart or they can be displayed as a Server rare. From today forward Fletchers will make a new bow known as the Taxus Recurved Longbow. These are very good bows but not the 'Uber' ones of bygone days.
2) Melee warriors will notice a damage bonus from melee weapons when used against the harder monsters (not weak monsters and not other players). This will not make melee players over powered but will help balance them a bit with other fighting styles.
Note:
We are still working on changes to the properties associated with the different resources as well as making some modest changes to Armor and Runics. This will be done cautiously with the intent of making warriors more interesting and crafting more viable. It will also make the various resources more individually meaningful.
Runics, Spellcrafting and Disenchantment will play more important roles in yielding truly fine armor, weapons and Jewellery.
