OVERVIEW
As many have heard - the facet of Felucca has been under going a transformation into a new land known as Tartarus. Tartarus is not a simple duplicate of Trammel.
The transformation to Tartarus will be complete before the end of September 2013. When is is ready . . you will need to download the new set of Map Files to find your way around. Tartarus will be challenging enough by itself . . to venture there without the new map Files would be dangerous (and you would miss all the fun).
In a nutshell - here are a few of the highlights:
1) PvP rules apply on Tartarus. That does not man PvP is mandatory and that does not mean that no rules apply (Griefing etc. will not be tolerated)
2) The cities have several changes. Many are in ruins and the others are either missing buildings or they have changed.
3) There are no guard zones anywhere on Tartarus
4) Houses can be built inside cities on Tartarus
5) There are Moongates in Tartarus but only for travel on the facet of Tartarus.
6) The Tartarus city names (corresponding to Trammel) are
Agartha was Vesper
Annwn was Cove
Asgard was Serpents Hold
Cockaine was Minoc
Dinas Affaraon was Yew
Elysium was Britain
Erttheia was Bucs Den
Kerguelen was Jhelom
Lemuria was Moonglow
Magh Meall was Magincia
Meropis was Skara Brae
Themiscyra was Trinsic
Westernesse was Ocllo
7) The Tartarus dungeon names (corresponding to Trammel) are
Avarice was Covetous
Devious was Deceit
Draggle was Despise
Dubious was Destard
Shaitan was Hythloth
Tears was Shame
Pernicious was Wrong
There are new dungeons in Tartarus for you to discover (Atlantis and the Warren) and the entrance to Khaldun has moved.
As well . . the dungeons of Tartarus have many differences:
- Spawns
- Unexpected level changes
- Additional new levels
- Sparkle gates that transport you to a different dungeon
8) The only way to get to Tartarus is:
- find one of the fifteen new passageways soon to appear in Trammel
- obtain a Moonstone from a Miner. (They will be able to dig them up soon)
9) Once on Tartarus you can 'Recall' back to the other facets but you cannot 'Recall' or 'Gate' from them to Tartarus.
10) As expected:
- Monsters are harder and there are also Tradian monsters (like Paragons but also harder)
- Tradian monsters drop Tradium coins used to enhance Artifacts. More uses for these coins will be found
- High end Tradian monsters have the best chance to drop Artifacts. They have access to over 200 Artifacts
- All Resource drops are higher
- The very highest resources (Tradium ore, Tradified wood and Tradisaur leather) are only available on Tartarus
