Who changes logs to boards?

Greetings.
Who changes logs to boards?

I remember on the OSI shards my lumberjack had to carry a carpenter tool and have 0.1 carpentry to convert logs to boards, all types.

So here a GM carpenter can't.
A 60+ skill lumberjack cant even though they can chop 6 different logs.

So.....Who changes logs to boards?

To change logs to boards - simply strike them with your axe/hatchet

Just tried that and my carpenter can. But....I'm sure I tried it before I was GM and it said something like...'you don't know how to use this strange wood'

Actually I've done it and still do at times and it works for me. I was at 32 and now at 60+ and still no problems.
