Just got the 120 magery skill and blessed some items. I noticed my failure rate was pretty dismal ( and catastrophic). Is there any way to lessen the destruction?
Thanks, -T

The ability of a mage to use the 'Bless' spell to actually bless items was seen as a real value but one which by design (like spellcrafting) does not come without some risk. There is a chance to 'explode' the item you are working on (25% chance) there is also a 25% chance to succeed and a 50% chance nothing happens.
There is no current plan to change the way this works.
Mages/Crafters in the land prefer to only use this ability on items before they become really valuable due to Tinker Enhancements or Spellcrafter improvements. The alternatives for Unblessed items are Insurance or Bless Deeds that can drop as loot.

Very good. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Apparently, earrings and I are not on friendly terms as I obliterated several pairs the other day.
Thanks for the reply and the numbers behind it.
