As of today . . Crafters (and everyone) can place Spellbooks into any container and bank box. This will be more convenient for crafters making large numbers for sale and generally for those with several Slayer versions to store away.
However (with one exception), in order to actually cast spells, you will still need a Spellbook in your hand, in your main backpack or in your spellbook basket. The exception? . . If you wish to 'Chant' the Medeis Incantrix 'Charm spell', the Medeis Incantrix must be in your hand or your main backpack, not in any other container (including the Spellbook Basket).
