It came to our attention that the Vampire Quest (see your quest journals) was coming to a rather disappointing conclusion for our citizens (cheap loot).
We looked at it closely and had to agree. This quest was one of our earlier additions and with all that has happened over the past decade it seems to have been left behind. For those of you who have not tried this adventure . . it is really a nice quest that can take you all over the realm before earning the right to enter Dracula's domain.
Today we bumped the loot dropped by Dracula to to better reflect the risk/reward of this adventure. Yes . . much of what he can drop is a random chance but there are several batches of goodies each with a 40% chance to drop so it would be amazingly unlucky if you came up 'blanked'. In addition to the new items available, Dracula can also now drop better general loot.
Hope this makes for a better experience on this quest.
Cheers
* Thanks to Bran for bringing this to our attention *

I'm not sure if you changed anything else, but as a tamer/mage, I'm at a loss. My pet refuses to attack, won't protect me, spell damage does almost nothing and I can't use bard skills on it. I was able to get him down to about 50% using ring of fire, but then he spams heal and shoots back to 100% health. I tried summoning the demon through the Medeis Incantrix, and that thing won't attack, either.
I have beaten this before, when my pet actually helped.
Maybe it's not a mage type of quest... perhaps I need to try my archer.
Update: My archer was able to deal with the Scourge of Dracula. One thing to note: I used a worg and an archer. My Worg didn't hesitate to attack, and the Dread Bow helped as well. My Drow Dragon was the pet that refused to attack Dracula.

Dracula is pretty much immune to melee damage until he is below 50% hits so use magery until then and melee to finish him off . . . hmmm . . or is it the other way around?
