Today we added some fun and reward to the Gargoyle Pickaxe and we also added a new Gargoyle Axe. Both of these items have a chance to drop as loot on most Gargoyle type creatures.
Here is where things get interesting:
1) If you have legendary (120) Mining skill and you kill or find an Ore Elemental corpse then you can use a Gargoyle Pickaxe on it to search for potentially hidden items.
When you use a Gargoyle Pickaxe in this way . . if you find anything it will auto drop in your pack and you will get a message indicating what was found.
Among the hidden items you might find are:
- Moonstones (type varies from Trammel to Tartarus),
- Coal,
- Brimstone,
- Gem Rocks from which you can extract Ancient Gems to enhance artifacts.
- Ancient Gems already extracted for Gem Stone.
- Random artifact Vanquishing Weapons.
Note: The type of Gemstone and Ancient Gems vary with the type of Elemental (i.e. Valorite Elemental, Tradium Elemental etc)
2) If you have legendary (120) Lumberjacking skill and you kill or find an Ent corpse (Ent, Elder Ent or Ancient Ent) then you can use a Gargoyle Axe on it to also search for hidden items.
When you use the Gargoyle Axe in this way . . if you find anything it will auto drop in your pack and you will get a message indicating what was found.
Among the hidden items you might find are:
- Paper making resources,
- Basket making resources,
- Tree seeds (various types) that you can plant in a garden plot by your house and harvest,
- Random artifact Vanquishing Weapons.
Most Important:
Make sure to search and remove loot from the corpses before using the Gargoyle Pickaxe or the Gargoyle Axe because these tools will destroy the corpse!
So for all you legendary Miners and Lumberjacks . . get some of these Gargoyle tools and go have some fun.
