Hey guys/ gals. So I'm coming to UOT from another private server. Alot of things are different. I wanna make a mage bard tamer. I'm just unsure where to begin. And how to get a decent start making gold. I've tried to tame a drake with 100 taming and I failed alot and died. I'm unsure if I need power scrolls to get past 100 taming. There's just not alot of information for this servers mechanics. Any info and help provided would be a blessing.

A mage bard tamer is a powerful combination in any world. To select that combination I am guessing you already have some experience with the game and know that the Animal Lore skill is part of that template Without Animal Lore you will have problems controlling beasts. Also the related bard skill of Peace Making should enable you to calm creatures long enough to tame them. If you obtain a mighty beast as a pet and you use your veterinary and mage skills as support, you should have little trouble getting gold.
Taming and Bard powerscrolls are obtained by doing the Tamer quests (available from the Zoologist in the Moonglow Zoo) and from the NPC Bard inside the Isle of Arete Zoo.
