Goodmorning traditions,
I was thinking to make certain skills usefull to have like tailoring for example Magic cloth since you can wear cloth while still have an armor on you For example: a cloak of healing - it regenerates hp faters. a cloak of meditaion - it regenerates mana fatster. a cloak of power - it boosts your evaluate intelligance. a cloack of resistance - your overal resistance is boosted.
then this comes in degrees as well like: lesser - once every 40 points 1 extra great - once every 30 points 2 extra greater - once every 20 points 3 extra divine - once every 15 points 4 extra godly - once every 10 points 5 extra
so for a lesser this would mean for each 40 points in evaluate intelligance you get 1% extra damage while a godly gives 5% extra damage another example for each 40 points in meditation you get 1 mana/second extra back while a godly does 5 mana per second back
This is all based on luck so for 100 items you make you have a small chance of making a lesser but a verry small chance of making a godly (all random)
You'll need Gm tailor and GM magery to even have a chance of making a magic cloth item
let me know what you all think about this please

I could very well be wrong but I think we already have cloth artifact (?) items that have these kinds of properties?
I do however very much like the idea of "magic cloth" . . . im recalling the Elven cloaks in LOTR that the hobbits wore which had an invisibility property to them. There may already be something similar to that here too though?

Hello! How were you thinking of that because of the skill hiding?

I do not intend to have clothing that hides players (for the moment anyway) as it diminishes the value of the Hiding/Stealth skills individually or in combination.
I do favour the idea of magic cloth and have this on my active list. I have already created some basic clothing scripts with some magic effects which can be used as a base for more. Next step is looking at the Craft systems to see how best to implement the creation of the new clothing. I will also ponder what resources might be needed and if they are easy or harder to get.
Remember . . I am on holidays for a bit so cannot promise how fast this will all come in. Rest assured it is in the works.
Cheers

Oooooh the above sounds intriguing!
I wouldn't advocate for clothing that has the ability to make the wearer invisible. I highly value the hiding and stealth skills some of my family members have.
Amairgen, just wondering . . . do you have the ability to add different clothing styles or is what there is all that we have? If you can, I have an idea/suggestion. If you can't, no point in me going any further with this :-)

It is possible to add new clothing styles but is something I would need to study/learn how to do. It involves editing some of the games .MUL files then patching those revised files out to all players. The editing process is a bit tricky and involved. I have seen a couple different tutorials on it and it is not straight forward.
I am not ruling this out but if it is to be done it should be a one time thing as patching files out to players a lot is not great for the community.
I am however open to thoughts on this.
