Today a new creature was discovered in the realm.

The 'exalted' Lesser Hiryu now roams where other Hiryu have been seen. These new creatures are not common but certainly exist and if tamed can drop an egg.

The 'exalted' Lesser Hiryu is a Samauri steed. Players with a Bushido skill higher then this creatures Taming skill can tame them without needing any Animal Taming. If you tame one an egg will drop into your pack.

After a day the egg should be able to hatch and again the Bushido skill allows this. The resulting Lesser Hiryu is a form of Evo pet that can be controlled with Bushido and can be 'shrunk' using a portable Pet Leash or a Hitching Post found at most stables.

These are intended for Samurai who do not run with a pack of pets. As such they will take up 4 of your basic 5 follower slots. If you have swallowed enough Pet Slot potions you might be able to control two at a time but remember . . . these are 'Lesser' Hiryu, not massive pets.

Funny thing I noticed, if you tame the new exalted lesser hiryu with animal taming rather than bushido, it doesn't disappear and give off an egg!

Is that because it is intended to be a Samurai steed?

Sorry . . could not resist. If this is a problem I can look into it further. If it is okay as is then I will leave it.

I'm fine with it either way, I think it makes more sense for Samurai to tame their steed.
