I just created a thief character and would like some advice. I'm going to work towards the following skills set: 120 - Stealing 100 - Lockpicking 120 - Magery (120 magery and eval so I can use the Medeis Incantrix in a dungeon) 120 - Eval 120 - Taming (Get myself a good meat shield) 120 - Animal Lore 115 - Music 115 - Peace And now the question I'm not sure about. 100 or 120 Hiding 100 or 120 Stealth Is there any benefit to having over 100 Hiding and Stealth? I'd like to save a few points to possibly add to Meditation for mana recovery. If I can go 115 music and peace, 100 lockpicking and 100 hiding/Stealth, that allows me 70 points in Meditation, which should allow a decent recovery. Or I forego lockpicking altogether, since most of my other toons have it, then I can go 120 Music/Peace, and 120 Hiding/Stealth with 120 Meditation. Thanks for any advice...

120 hiding- I believe having 120 means you can hide in plain sight from less than 8 tiles away from a hostile mob.100 hiding is sufficient I think
120 stealth- having 120 stealth gives more steps (and 12 running steps) while stealthed. 100+ allows heavier armor while stealthed as well. Wearing anything heavier than leather armor will add to the likelihood of stealth being broken. It doesn't mean stealth will break; it means that anything heavier than leather is adding a stressor against ones stealth skill that otherwise wouldn't be there. Assuming one is wearing leather or lighter articles, 80 stealth is enough to stealth continuously with no issues outside of being passively (or directly) revealed. The other consideration is how stealth plays into ninjitsu special moves. But, you don't have that in your template so not an issue.
