spell enchanting / mage weapon

is it possible to enchant an item with mage weapon 0? 
i had hoped at 120 scribe/alch it would do it but i'm still getting -29

The value you get is random and the best you might get is -0 which would be 'extremely' rare. What are you trying to do with it? Are you thinking of Spell Channeling so you can cast while equipped?

i've tried a few times to get some thing other than -29, Mage weapon allows the user to use their magery as a weapon skill, the Designated -## is how many points of magery they loose equiping the opbject.

and i'm using the enchanting book

150 attempts
6 boom sticks
1 glacier staff
2 val long swords
and 1 dryad bow (sad face) ((And one death but meh.. temporary issue)
i've determined im either
A: really unlucky or B: -29 is the best you can do with mage weapon.

We have not changed anything to do with the 'Mage Weapon' spell. I am sue you have seen this but just in case . . here is what UOGuide.com has to say about the 'Mage Weapon spell.

"Mage Weapon is an Item Property that converts a sorcerer's Magery skill into the weapon's Required Skill, subject to any listed penalty (which typically range from -29 to -21, or anywhere down to -0 for artifacts. At least one -30 item is known to exist, but it may perhaps be the only one!. By way of example, a Mace with the item property of Mage Weapon -22 Skill would allow a legendary sorcerer to wield it as if he or she had a Mace Fighting skill of 98 (120-22=98)."

i see
it also drops your magery down when you equip it by the same number. if its something only available on artifacts that's understandable as well i was just inquiring if it were possible to get lower.

We have not changed it here so it is "as is" out of the box. If you would like your Mage skill dropped . . *hehe* call me *grins*
