is there a pet with immunity to poison? the rate that poisons are used on this server makes it REALLY hard to heal a pet without vet, (they get poisoned and you goto switch to cure, some times the pet will cure itself first so you go back to heal only for it to be poisoned again.... makes a big mess)

I know what you mean but I dropped veterinary for other skills. I use arch cure for my poisoned pets. It never fails and is faster than vet. I also use greater heal and some of the new potions to heal heal so I saved +100 points.
Today mostly I use a Worg. They are poisoners with a heavy bite so they can poison most things and can also cure themselves if they get poisoned. With their heavy hits pool they go down slow giving me a better chance to look after them. He does die a lot at times depending on the situation so he sure ain't immortal. All part of the fun.
Don't know if any pets are poison immune though. Crossbreed would be the one to ask. he the best tamer around.

unicorns are immune to poison, the evo unicorn is fairly tough but with limited skills... since I have only recently returned after a long stay, I am afraid i cannot offer better atm. however many high end pets with magery and poisoning skill may be effective as they may be able to cure themselves. cleric spells are supposed to be able to heal through poison and heal much more damage than aids or magery, but again ive not tested these theories here yet.

The evo unicorn is definitely poison immune and I believe is the strongest poison-immune pet. I'm not sure it'll stack up in comparison to the newer pets though, so maybe Amairgen could give it some love at some point? I'd be down if the quest was made more difficult to compensate.. Some enemies have a poison that is strong enough to "get around" immunities, I believe. The newer pets on the server also have access to this ability, and thus they can poison things that normally are immune to the poison as well. Though, I must admit that my primary approach to fighting with my pet is by trying to burst through enemies quickly rather than keeping my pet alive. Sometimes I can and will heal, and Arch Cure is good enough to do that with fast casting maxed and is faster than bandages to boot. But against tougher enemies, sometimes it's easier for me and my pet to pile on the damage asap. Veterinary is also something I feel may need a buff so that it can be a better skill, as we have many things in this server that circumvent the need for it (pet res pots, etc). If you deal damage alongside your pet, a good measurement is to fight a greater basilisk with your pet. If you can kill it without having to heal your pet, I'd say you're most likely in a good spot DPS-wise. However, Arch Cure should be good enough to keep your pet healthy and allow its own heals to go through instead of curing itself. But you'll have to stay on your toes! Finally, as far as I know, none of the new pets are poison-immune. I haven't stress-tested them all to the fullest extent, but I do know I haven't seen any them be immune to poison yet when I ran all of them through some combat to see how they fare. I do think there are some things I've yet to discover in regards to some of the new pets though, so try them out and see how you like them.
