Is there other quests to get Bods? 
or are Bods still needed for runic tools? OSI wise you would typically trade with another crafter. two people double teaming it could take YEARS to find the ones you need to fill a large deed to get the Runic.

Okay I looked into this and apart from the BOD system rewarding with Runic Smith Hammers and Runic Sewing Kits . . .

1) Treefellows have a 10% chance to drop either:
- a runic Carpenter' tool or;
- a Runic Fletcher's tool

2) Ore Elementals have a 3% chance to drop their related Runic Smith Hammer.

3) Tradisaurs (that is Tradisaur not Tradian) have a 5% chance to drop a Tradisaur Leather Runic Sewing kit.

For the valued Crafter (someone ill equipped to hunt) the current system forces them to become BODies or make a hunter or have hunter friends.

So . . it appears to me that it is in order to add to the ways Runic tools can be obtained. For now . . I will look at having the various Runic tools become 20% possible rewards for Legendary Crafters who continue to do the Crafter Quests. When this gets scripted I will post it under our Forum's News Board.

Also . . I am open to other ideas that do not make them 'common' and detract from their importance.

So the correct information and the situation as it currently stands is this.

4) The Blacksmith Crafter's quest has a 23% chance to drop one of all the Runic Smith Hammers to legendary smiths who continue doing that quest.

5) The Carpenter Crafter's quest has a 23% chance to drop one of all the Runic Dovetail Saws to legendary carpenters who continue doing that quest.

6) The Bowcraft/Fletcher Crafter's quest has a 23% chance to drop one of all the Runic Fletching Kits to legendary fletchers who continue doing that quest.

7) The Tailor Crafter's quest has a 23% chance to drop one of all the Runic Sewing Kits to legendary tailors who continue doing that quest.

This seems fair to me with respect to Runic tools.

I think these numbers are reasonable for runics . . .

I've been fairly successful when hunting Treefellows.

Not so much when doing the crafter quests.

I guess it's just the roll of the dice . . .

Okay so I've worked on Emerald a bit today with her Blacksmithing.  I have noticed that BoD's are on a 2 hr. timer.  I was wondering if there was any way we could get from 120 min down to maybe 20 mins?  Now the reason I suggest this is I get quite a few Large BoD's and like someone mentioned above, unless you want to have 0.1 (I'm guessing that's all you need skill wise to get a BoD) BS on a few chars the 2 hr time limit is kind rough if I play for 4 hours a day.

What does everyone else think??  

Anyone that actually does BoD's?

I mean yeah I can take my Drow Dragon to Tartarus Minoc and farm for runic hammers, but with the BS quest every 4 hours and the BoD's every 2 hours it does kinda limit a non fighting Blacksmith on special items.

Maybe??
