A new Quest Giver by the name of Yoren has been added. He is known as an Adventurer and now stands just outside 'The Night's Watch' administration building. Members of the Watch will know where this is. For others in the Realm you can visit and 'Talk' to Yoren by going through the little snow Igloo on the north end of Trammel's Ice Island.
This area and Yoren the Quest Giver are open to everyone and he will offer you a choice of two adventures . . The Crystal Palace or the land of Old Valyria.
Note: there is a three hour cool down period when talking to Yoren. I hope to get our Quest Journal updated soon to reflect these two new quests.
*Thank you to Jeor Mormont and the Watch members who paid for this development*

Took down the Crystal Palace with some slow-paced clearing. The primary issue is the dark elves - They get annoying in groups, but can be cleared if you're careful. So Amairgen knows, I cleared it with the Worg and a Roc while casting damage spells the entire while, but the Roc didn't fight much until the final boss because dark elves would have killed the Roc. Everything died due primarily to my own spells, but the Worg put in some decent enough damage while acting as an okay tank. As far as the rewards, I'm curious what they all are. I ended up taking the necklace but it wasn't better than my current spellcrafted necklace, so I'm not gonna wear it. I'm all about that spell damage! And the other stats on my current necklace are too helpful. I also went to the Old Valyria and, to be honest, didn't know what I was supposed to do there. I cleared pretty much every enemy I found but didn't know where to go after walking through the entire area and checking out the temple itself. It feels like a hunting area, but I could be wrong. If there's a boss, I'd like to find it

Well done Crossbreed and some good feed back.
For Old Valyria . . you need to read closely the 'directions' to which part of Valyria you need to hunt. When you run into the large Stonemen you need to very carefully pick through their loot to find a book to the next location. The locations can vary each time you take the quest. The final book will spawn the Boss at the Temple. Good Luck

Ah, I didn't get a pink book the first time! I got it and followed everything, beat the boss and... Its corpse despawned while I was looting it. So, I didn't "complete" the quest because I was still searching the corpse for whatever quest item I was supposed to grab. The area isn't difficult as long as you take it slow, but part of the problem is having to take it slow. I didn't realize the boss' corpse teleported back to the temple, so I had to clear all the extra enemies out and it took too long before I could thoroughly loot the boss' corpse and find what I was supposed to grab. Reasonably certain I could do it again. Just takes a bit clearing all the enemies, so I have to keep in mind that if I pull the boss instead of the extra enemies, I'll have to quickly make my way to the corpse. But this area definitely encourages taking it slow, as if you pull too many enemies you'll instantly get nuked by the aoe damage. I used a Worg/roc combo again, seemed the roc would die a bit easily though. Would recommend a higher health 3 slotter to just tank while you kill things yourself, as I was doing most the damage here through fire damage, though you could also kite things and kill them on your own. Tanking isn't mandatory here and I could see most any combat-oriented character able to clear this area solo.

There is no particular Quest item on the Boss for this one . . . just a pile of loot. Might be fun to add something like that though.

Oh ok, phew. Glad I didn't miss out then! Got most of the artifacts off the body, at least. Was a fun time!
