The Artifact Exchange

Hey!

So I've finally gotten around to doing something about this idea & decided to go with a shared area & deposit box/boxes.

This whole thing will work primarily on trust & being respectful of one another which in my experience so far here seems to be of no issue. We have an awesome little community here & it's exciting to know that we can help each other out & kinda play together even when we can't.

The community exchange will come in different phases.

Phase one is complete & that is the introduction of the artifact exchange - this is an anyone access Davy Jones' Locker box at the outpost tavern (still under construction) on Ocarina island in the world of Tartarus. There is a secret underground passage from the Trammel World Ocarina Island to the Tartarus world on the island so it's very straightforward to access once you know where it is.

This island is where I reside so some of you may have been before. The tavern is by no means big however the community on the island is being developed so there certainly will be plenty of interest to browse as it is further developed and built.

There is already a bank at the Bar for your withdrawal & deposit needs.

I've added a few artifacts already to the locker box & would like it to work as an exchange system. So if you take something, please return something of equal value for others to use... for example, red for red, blue for blue, etc.

Please only deposit what you do not need. Especially as this is a trust system.

If anyone has any other ideas, i'm totally up for hearing you out.

There isn't much there other than that at the moment while i work on adding to the area & the tavern, but definitely keep your eye on the space in the coming weeks!

Phase Two will be coming relatively soon & will be artifact (& other) vendors & guards where there will be a selection of artifacts of different levels that can be bought for gold. I will gradually be including levels up to invulnerable sets for purchase too.

Note: This won't be a vendor mall, the intention is to create a small community space to exchange things under the protection of mercenary guards! However, remember, no where is safe within tartarus!

I expect i will also be adding donation type boxes for people to give/take from if they're hunting for something specific & they just cannot seem to get it to drop. This will include items like spell-crafting gems that are fairly commonplace however trying to find the last one to fill your book can be a pain or 'junk' spell books that might offer value to a newer player but by no means will they be end game books & with no intention of destroying the vendor community already in place.

More valuable items will be available for purchase in the future too as well as perhaps the 'essentials'.

Phase three will be a little later i expect & will include many extras like finishing the surrounding gardens, adding items like pet posts, a small rune library & all the other things that will make the area a useful place to visit.

I also know there are a few other areas with things like this so i'm not trying to take away from those as opposed to adding to the community. I will be looking to add things that are yet to have been included by the community.

Once i get my mind set on something (for better or worse) I crack on with it so it shouldn't all take too long except the final decor as that's gonna be costly in gold.

Always open to ideas too though if anyone likes/dislikes something about the place while it begins to unfold.

Just wanted to post a little update on this!

I've added a few extra donation boxes with different items in (bags for spellcrafting jewels, spellbook basket for crafted spellbooks & some storage crates for odd valuable pieces) & i've added extra of the more 'common' artifact drops to the exchange box - many of which are enough to make invulnerable pieces.

Someone has also DONATED some invulnerable items in there already so thank you for that. I'll write up a little guide booklet for the exchange soon too & get that there, making sure to highlight the EXCHANGE factor for the artifacts

I've also contracted Hemisphere, the dark shady goods vendor. This is partly as a memorial to probably the greatest market owner on my original shard of europa back when i was a wee-lad & also to allow some of the more valuable goods to be purchased such as spellcrafted gear & misc goods. I'd love your opinion of things you want to see for sale as well as what should be kept as exchangable or donations. Hemisphere will never be overly stocked in order to keep the price of the daily charge down however there is plenty of stock available & i will be checking it regularly.

I'm quite limited on playing time right now but there will be much more to come relatively soon so keep 'em peeled gang!
