Stats on Vanquishing weapons

According to the Spellcrafting book, vanquishing weapons can have a total of 12 properties, so if you had a vanquishing weapon and spellcrafted it to its max properties, could you still add the gems to it which could give it up to 5 more properties.

Not all Vanquishing weapons accept gems and not all are fully spellcraftable.

also when adding gems it removes any bonuses and resets the item not allowing you to make crazy weapons.
this way all have a similar balance.
