As many may be aware . . .there has been a lot of discussion recently regarding Artifact Enhancements. We have taken a great deal of input from the community in an effort to make this system better. While no change will make 100% smile I feel comfortable the few frowns will also find a ton of things to smile about.
I want to thank the considerable input and testing done by Sacre Bleu and Yhaguen in making this possible.
This is an ongoing process but Phase 1 is now live on the server (see below).
1) Artifact Crafting Upgrade (Phase 1): The Artifact enhancing properties of the different Ancient Gems has changed for Weapons and Shields. These changes are reflected in the Tinker Enhancement Tome for Shields and Weapons.
Below is a table for your reference.
[Ancient Gems] [Shields] [Weapons]
Amethyst 150 Luck 150 Luck
Citrine +1 all regens 30% All Hit Leeches
Ruby +2 Health regen Hit Fireball 42%
Sapphire +20 Mana Bonus Hit Harm 42%
Diamond +2 Mana regen Hit Lightning 42%
Emerald +2 Stam regen Hit Poison Area 15%
Moonstone +5 SDI Hit Magic Arrow 42%
When all Phases are complete a new Table will be created and posted on the Forum under Play Guides.

The Bless property was perhaps the singular biggest drop that occurred in the Arti Enhancement crafting changes. It was requested but to off set that you can now buy Item Bless deeds from Lord Hart in the Brit Kings castle in Trammel.
As many also know . . Mages can Cast the Bless spell on Items (yes there is a 25% chance to destroy) and you can Toggle 'Item Insurance' from your paperdoll.

The Tomes still say bless 1, bless 2 and bless 3 over the three options indicating there will be a bless. This may confuse or mislead a player.
Weapons only get three options so they will not be as customizable as the armors but what they do get is clearly a much better use of gems. After all the testing we had to reduce some percentages on the overall properties but the bonuses are better than what can be achieved threw spellcraftig making the Gemed weapon slightly better.
The real benefit of the gem update will affect armor more than it does weapons. Simplifying what bonuses you receive while making them desirable on end game gear. "no more nightsight" and no more bonuses that would be lesser than spellcraft. Shields should give you a clue as to what's in store for armors.
not saying a 42% in lightning and magic arrow affect nothing and having a full aray of leech saves much time. depending on the weapon the new bonuses could work better than expected.

Hmm, if bless isn't going to be added to all gems then the Lord Hart deeds are way too overpriced at 75k Tradium

Hmm, if bless isn't going to be added to all gems then the Lord Hart deeds are way too overpriced at 75k Tradium Thank you - this is a valid point. In considering this . . I am looked at the following: 1) The Ancient Citrine Gems that previously gave the Bless property, came into the world from: - GM Miners digging up Citrine Gemrock (randomly available) - GM Tinkers cutting the Gemrock with a special tool to obtain an Ancient Citirne Gem - GM Tinkers setting the Ancient Citrine Gem into an Artifact that had been leveled up to Vanquishing or Invulnerable This process to obtain the Bless Property required: - Players with GM dedication in two skills - The random search for the resources and - the property could only be added to the highest level Artifacts 2) 75k Tradium may be to expensive . . but . . what is a reasonable offset value for a Bless Deed given the skills investment previously required and the fact that Bless Deeds add the Blessed property to all wearable items (not just the top Artifacts)? I am open to input and agreeable to alternatives . . ideas please? Cheers

75 thousand traidum coins is just too much for something your going to need 10 of.
when it comes down to it bless not only prevents the item from being lost but it'll allow the player to keep playing after death.
For a new player gathering 25k traidum is possible given it could easily take them a month if they played it safe farming 1 tradian at a time. for vetrans/ players who's been active 6+ months getting coins and medallions is much easier but still gathering 750 medallions cant always be done in one insurgents attack and last i checked it still takes an hour to gather 25k tradium coin.
Moving the new deeds to the 25k list makes more sence.
Adding a gold cost to every item Hart sells.
Some more Deco items and possibally a house to house teleporter to the 75k list "suprise us"

I agree....As boring as working Mining may be...becoming GM in both of the skills previously required is fairly easy. The random chance to mine/cut the Ancient Citrine in my opinion wasn't too bad. I mined very little and was able to collect a nice supply of gems relatively fast.
With that being said, gathering 75k Tradium using the Mage templates that I use...that took quite a bit longer. I have saved my Tradium twice now since playing here which is roughly 6 months....the first time I bought a Quiver of Infinity, the second time I bought a Bless deed because I was under the impression that they could be used on Loot Bags (I was sadly wrong lol). So in 6 months time I have only been able to accumulate 150,000 Traidum (a little more because I bought Jethro some Recipes). At that rate I will have to play for years before I could afford to Bless one full set. That being said, the value that Bless gear brings to the new player community, is far out of reach.
I don't know why, but I was hoping the Bless Deeds were for Loot Bags and the Bless feature would have instead been added to all Gems....I guess I'm one of the frowning faces lol

The Deed based Bless was a lot less code than adding bless to every item.
I still plan on blowing most of my stuff up with magery but for some items I will no doubt save up deeds.
"Since we have no PK's regulating shard progression doing it to ourselfs works just as well!"

I am listening . . and . . we will make this work . . but please do not ask me to go back and change all the scripts (four long days work so far) to add Bless back onto Weapons and Shields *grim faced grin*
I will listen to other ideas for a day or two then we will collectively decide the best way and price for the Bless deeds to be obtained. Random drops and/or questing are possibilities in addition to Lord Hart.
Other than that . . Generally: 1) I always expected the newest players would either have less valuable gear or would use the 'Insurance' option until they got established. 2) The Bless deeds will never apply to Loot bags for the same reason the little Blue Bless pouches only have a 10 item limit. If you walk around on a shard that has a PvP facet and carry up to 125 (and maybe stacked) valuable items . . then . . the risk should get exciting.
Thank you for the really good input.

Let's get away from Tradium and Medallions for this one all together. How about 100k gold per Bless Deed (no Medallions and no Tradium). Crafters are already utilizing Tradium in the enhancement process. Requiring gold as the currency replaces the constant cost of Inventory Insurance. Only makes sense that a bless deed would negate the cost spent for renewed insurance. This would allow Crafters to be able to afford the deeds too. Some of our Crafters in the world rarely if ever venture into Tartarus (where the bulk of Tradium is found). The gold cost can be factored into a Crafters sale price to recoup the expenditure. Medallions and Tradium are harder to come by, so there is less of this in the economy right now (I would think)....Gold on the other hand is easier to come by and I think this would be a good way to sink some of it. Just counting the 9 main Armor/Jewelry slots we're talking 900k to bless your gear. I think this is more feasible and balanced when weighing the loss of the previous method to Bless through the Citrine Ancient Gem. If not, I'd rather the properties for just the Citrine Ancient Gems be reversed back to the way it was.

i agree with Lucian's idea. It is difficult to get that many medallions and tradium coins. Easier to get the medallions than the coins, I could get 750 medallions from 3 to 5 insurgent events but to get 50k coins would take at least 20 times to Warren with it completely filled with tradian savages. And it would be even harder since i wouldnt be the only one doing it.
