The Lernaean Poison Bow
This quest begins in Delucia in the Tartarus Newlands but can take you across many facets.
Talk to the exiled King Eurystheus. He has taken over the little abandoned tower on the northern edge of the town.
The King and his Court escaped from their homeland of Argolis when a virilant form of Hydra took over lake Lerna. The lake extends to the Underworld and along that path is the entrance to the lair of Lernaean Hydra.
King Erystheus and his followers are raising funds to equip an army for his return to Argolis. If you donate 300 Tradium coins Eurystheus reveals the current location of the old man Danaus who can help you find your way to the Hydra lair.
Old Danaus himself is impoverished from raising fifty daughters. Those daughters now toil hauling water from lake Lerna to Tartarus and have fallen under the Hydra influence. Still . . they do speak to Danaus and thus he knows the way.
If you give Danaus 500 Gold coins he will reveal an entrance to lake Lerna and the path to the Hydra lair.
Lernaean Hydra carry many items which they swallow up from the lake bottom. Some are valuable. The Hydra have poisonous breath and blood so virulent that even its scent is deadly. Vials of Lernaean Blood Poison can be obtained from their corpse.
They also drop special scales used by the Artisans of Argolis to craft very special clothing, armor and the great Lernaean bow. The vials of Lernaean Blood can be used to apply 25 Lethal poison charges to a Lernaen Bow. The bow holds 1000 charges.
If you accumulate 10 Lernaean Hydra Scales then King Eurystheus himself will reward you. The rewards are special items crafted by the Artisans of Argolis and my include the elusive Lernaean Poison Bow.
Note:
1) Anyone can try this quest but you will need the ability to 'Teleport'.
2) You will also need 300 Tradium coins and 500 gold coins in your pack.
3) If a you accept this quest then Eurystheus will not give it to any other player for 1 hour.
4) If you accept this quest then Eurystheus will not give it to you again for 4 hours.
5) If a you accept this quest then you will need to complete it within 24 hours.
