The vendor sells 'Iris's Hue Pot' ( a new storage container that holds the colors you make, the mordants and the special item gotten from quest ), 'Iris Dye Mordant' and 'Painting Pallettes'. The cooking tool is used to make the dyes. And the Iris's Hue Pot costs 50,000 gold. The Mordants cost 1000 gold each and painting pallettes cost 15 gold.
One mordant and one special quest item are needed to make one dye.
Make sure you buy everything before you leave the shop or have alot of trouble trying to get back. Why oh Why did you have to put those rocks in the water around the island, it makes it hard to get on it and makes it impossible to dry dock the ship.

Update on new quest. I was about to say the name needed to be changed to the never ending quest because each time i killed a sister, she respawned, finally after killing 6 sisters, there was only 1 left ( originally there was only 3 sisters ). I died 3 times and used [selfres to res each time down in the shop, the 3rd time i ressed, my corpse did not appear, i went upstairs out of shop to outside and my corpse was there but i couldnt reach it ( it was either under rocks or in the water ), about 5 minutes later my corpse was in shop about 3 tiles north from where i ressed, finally got my stuff back.
I picked white again, went in white door, killed the giant succubus, she had the correct item.

It appears you must be on the quest in order to enter the cave\shop to buy 'Iris's Hue Pot', the Mordants, 'Iris Dye Mordant', or 'Painting Palettes'? I'd hate to delay someone an hour just so my crafter can enter the shop.

once you talk to Kezia on the island, she opens the cave so you can go inside, the Iris's Hue Pot and mordants wont do you any good unless you have the quest items. If you start the quest and go in the shop, when you leave the shop, you better recall back to Trammel or your house. The shop is in Tartarus, when you enter the cave, it teleports you to the shop in Tartarus, and when you leave the shop, you are still in Tartarus. And if you dont talk to Iris, the evil pixies wont be outside when you leave.

*smiles*
Yes walking into the Trammel island cave will take you to Iris's shop and leaving the shop finds you on the same island but in Tartarus. That was a fun little twist I put in but don't fear . . once you get to Iris's Tartarus shop . . look around in there and you will see that is has a Res Ankh, a Pet Res Stone and also a Travel Stone that can take you back to Trammel.
Crafters can start the quest . . get to Iris's shop . . buy what they need . . and use the Travel Stone to get home *all in safety*
I would not worry about causing a quest delay if you only plan to visit the shop. Crafters can buy a supply and not have to return that often. Because crafters themselves cannot get some of the ingredients they will have to work with a warrior/mage/tamer friend to get everything needed. With all the supplies the special dyes can be made so you can change the colour of anything you can equip.
There are eight Hue Pigments (Blue, Brown, Green, Grey, Orange, Red, White, Yellow) and each can make two shades of its colour so there are sixteen possible results. These colours were not previously available through crafting to the community. I hope to set up a display some day so people can see the results. Meanwhile I tested them all (on Weapons, Armor, Shields, Clothing and Footwear) and they look good. Using a Hue on a set and/or mixing the colours through a set should make for some fun new looks.

I have no problem getting around it. I just wanted to make sure it was not an unintended situation.
