So from some quick conversation, it appears that most everyone liked the idea of opening the Black Dye tub to all clothing options. With the direction the black dye tub has been taken, a protest is in the works. All those in favor of being able to obtain the Black Dye tub the way it was and to open it to all clothing options; will hear by wear the color pink to demonstrate being in favor.
Leave the Black Dye tub in the quest that it was in and open it to all clothing options. Propose a set of dyes and or tub possibly obtained by another quest that gives more color options to give other the ability to customize their look as to persuade everyone from wearing all black.

To be honest . . *sorry* . . I am now totally confused what people want from this tub. Can someone PM me a clear description so we do not end up in an endless back and forth or conflicting ideas. I will listen to all and then try to find the best solution.

The way to prevent blackout of characters is to provide more color options.
the normal dyes are fuzzy and pastel. the tailored bod cloth has nice colors but it cant really be used on gear.
there is an option to make dyes with alchemy Cooking i'll see what that entails.
I originally was just giving Lucian crap for having the black hooded shroud but in all fairness we should be allowed to look however we choose.
when i was saying a shade off jet black so some detail can be seen
I did not mean for it to become fuzzy charcoal instead.
the "jet black is part of UO and without it we don't have the options to accessorize accordingly.

This will be resolved but will take a few days of scripting and testing. In the process I will attempt to bring in some more hues. The challenge for me is . . some look great on clothes but go terrible neon on armor and weapons or vice versa.

A variation of the black that's available above the craft hall is what I would like to see.
it being black/silver i would like to see black/red - black/green black/yellow and so on.
this will give the richness of jet black with some detail. i've seen a few items lately with this type of hue and it could be a nice addition.
