The Disenchantment Stone has been improved . . some additional properties to Disenchant have been added and some old ones that did not work are now fixed.
Note: DBL clicking to use a Disenchantment Stone will still consume 'Uses' even if the property you attempt to remove is not on the item you target or is already at its basic resource implied value. For example various ingots have some level of basic Damage Resistance (Physical, Fire, Cold etc). You can reduce the properties to this level but cannot remove it.

I noticed some armor doesnt have any of the resistances on them ( physical, fire, cold, poison, energy) and i have some armor pieces that apparently had them added using spellcrafting and when trying to add another stats to them, it wouldnt let me, saying it has maximum stats, shouldnt the resists be standard stats even if they had to be added so that 5 more stats could be added even though the resists were added first?

Durable also counts as a Prop. The problem with the Resists is . . They can be increased with Spellcrafting so SC sees them as a property. If you Disenchant to remove a Resist it only drops to the base amount implied by the resource type. The other complication is . . resist values can vary slightly on each item made.
I know what you are getting at. It has been apparent to me for years but I cannot see removing basic resists from the various ores.
I will put it on my list for a look to see if the we can force basic resists at set values then have them not count unless they exceed those values.
