Okay . . on a 'look see basis' the NPC vendor charge in the Arete Market has been lowered a fair amount. If the Vendors become abused as some form of storage instead of a reasonable offer to sell market this will be changed.
'Reasonable' is a hard to describe term in situations like this. However . . items placed on a vendor for millions of gold (grossly over priced) or items other than containers placed on a vendor and marked 'Not for Sale' . . are not reasonable.
Hopefully this change is helpful as a strong Player Vendor market benefits all.
So . . here is the way NPC vendors in the Arete Market now charge.
1) The 'Real Day' charge when a vendor's inventory pack is empty = 10 gold.
2) If he has any inventory for sale he charges a percentage of the total value in addition to this basic 10 gold Daily charge.
The following examples are given to demonstrate how the formula would work at different values: a) 500,000 value = 500 gold charge b) 1,000,000 value = 1,000 gold charge c) 1,500,000 value = 1,500 gold charge d) 2,000,000 value = 2,000 gold charge e) etc etc etc
We hope this change works well and the system is not abused.
Cheers

i guess u mean for the 500,000 item, it would cost 500 per day plus the 10 per day for a total of 510 a day ?

That's what it looks like he means, yes. So 0.1% of your total stock price plus 10

If it's a percent of the cost then I don't think it'd ever go below at least 1 gold + 10 flat.

It would depend on how UO handles rounding, I bet that since it's always an int that it just cuts off the remainder though

Costs 10 gold per day regardless of vendor pack contents2) If he has any inventory for sale the Vendor charges a percentage of the total value in addition to this basic 10 gold Daily charge. Percentage of any value PLUS 10The following examples are given to demonstrate how the formula would work at different values: These are examples only - Vendors charge is Percentage of any value PLUS 10a) 500,000 value = 500 gold charge Plus 10 = 510b) 1,000,000 value = 1,000 gold charge Plus 10 = 1,010c) 1,500,000 value = 1,500 gold charge Plus 10 = 1,510d) 2,000,000 value = 2,000 gold charge Plus 10 = 2,010e) etc etc etc *smiles*
