Do exalted sphinx need be killed to get a deed because i tried to tame one and it said "this animal cannot be tamed". So I killed some but didnt get a deed and where they spawn, most of the time they are regular. The regular ones can be tamed but you cant shrink them.

Exalted Sphinx needs to be tamed to get a deed. You will need very high taming to accomplish this. The closer to 120 the better. Skill of 115 probably will not work. The Uber Polar bear is probably similar.

Hey Fig I came across that issue. i think it's when a pet is just toooooo strong even tho exalted it cant be tamed... sofar i've only experianced this with the spinx and charger of the fallen.
The parent creature has nothing to do with the egg / deed you recieve.
i tamed a 2943 health exalted greater and i got a 1600 health pet from that egg.... bad luck for me. good news for tamers tho because we now know that.
greater dragons can cap at 3k health. maybe more....
so keep tryin.

These higher end Exalted creatures are scripted to be Tamable so if some are randomly appearing Non-Tamable (maybe because of some formula acting on their High Taming Skill requirement) . . please let me know. I can visit the spawners for these and try forcing Tamable at creation. Failing that I can add additional code to their scripts that should solve it.
When I tell them to be tamable they better behave *grins*

it worked, maybe the first one was bugged, how many levels does a exalted sphinx have? They are a 'Minor' evo so only have three levels. They should train up to max almost immediately after being fed and fighting anything bigger than a wolf. |

well rats, it was looking like it would be a good pet, it has high strength but not high hp yet.

what are all the better exalted and evo pets that have the potential to be the best, and where are exalted greater dragons located? I have seen greater dragons at Daemon Temple but maybe randomly sometimes they are exalted

Exalted Greater Dragons can be found all over Dubious Dungeon.
You want the offscring to have close to 1800 health and 1400 str at level 3 for it to be usefull. if not better luck next time.
