I have found normal trees with yew wood and bloodwood, but i have seen some trees in the "Kings hunting reserve" area that had 2 Ancient yew trees, 1 Ancient frostwood and 1 Ancient bloodwood. Is there Ancient yew wood, Ancient bloodwood and Ancient frostwood, or why are these trees named Ancient if they dont give anything different. I couldnt chop them since i didnt have the skill and crafters are usually bad fighters so not much chance going to that area to chop them.

there must be something different about them, i can harvest frostwood now and found an ancient frostwood tree in Ilshenar and it says I have no idea how to harvest from that tree and also wont let me try to chop if when mounted.

maybe theres a special item to chop the ancient trees. Maybe an ancient hatchet  |

I've chopped t Ancient Taxwood tree with just a regular old axe...I have 103.6 lumberjacking thought, maybe having over 100 has something to do with it? No idea, just throwing that out there. Also I wasn't mounted when chopping it.

Amairgen, did u do something, I found some ancient trees somewhere else and now i can chop all of them, i know i cant chop taxwood yet but i was able to chop an ancient taxwood tree but only got 5 logs. The ancient yew and heartwood trees gave 70+ logs with 1 swing.
