So it seems there are quite a few vendors in the Arete Vendor Mall that possibly belong to inactive players. Do these vendors ever decay?

Yes. once the funds run out to pay the vendor his daily fee.
but considering most vendors are empty in stock they still have a cashbox with millions of gold so that's not going to happen anytime soon.
also something needs to be said about the players who took a vendor Shop and never placed a vendor.
inconsiderate to say the least.

I will visit the area and check. I would have expected vendors from deleted accounts to auto decay but maybe not. Also . . with a one years time frame before unlogged accouunts get deleted . . Vendors can be unattended for months without being restocked.

Okay, sounds good. Eventually I will be placing one, crafter is getting pretty close to being done. I may just have to take you up on that offer Alk, if none of the prime realty opens up ;D
