I shut down the system a few moments ago to install new Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) equipment for our server.
We had an inquiry concerning server drops and power during the past couple of days so I purchased and installed new equipment to eliminate that potential reason for the drops. The old equipment was around three years old and while they can last longer, they are not reliable past that point. The new UPS will provide up to 7 hours of power to the server if there is any drop/surge/brown-out at this end.
If the ISP ever drops it is beyond my control but we should pop back when that returns.
