I'm an old guy who was involved in the UO beta project back in the 90s. I've played UO since then and all the stand alone Ultima games prior to that.
I started falling away from the production shards when they began offering 'Neon' items and enhanced character skills in return for real world money. The final straw for me came when they forced my guild to drop our houses and move so our guild island of Ocllo could be turned into 'Haven'.
I discovered the realm of the Player Free Shards in 2005 and now (with the help of mature UO addicts) we offer you our version of the game.
