1) There is now a new enhanceable Artifact on the shard. The Elven Windsong bow crafted by Legolas.
2) We have a new quest added and the Elven Windsong bow has a chance to drop as a reward along with Archery Powerscrolls and many other things.
Here is some information about the Windsong Revenge Quest:
Gwydion is a renowned scoundrel who roams far and wide seeking valuables. The problem is . . they belong to other people.
He has amassed a large collection of Artifacts along with other special items. Sometimes he has these in his pack if you slay him.
Be Warned: he is not an easy foe. He has his tricks and he is usually in dangerous Tartarus locations.
To find Gwydion, talk to the elf Dokkalfr son of Freyr. He can be found in the 'Revenge Shop' in the southeast part of Papua in Trammel.
If you accept this quest you have 5 hours to locate Gwydion.
There is a 6 hour Cool Down period.

Completed it a few times now, it's a very good challenge. Some of the spawn locations really can make this a tricky fight, but with that challenge can come great rewards!

Stay tuned here - I am working on an addition to this quest so it will come in two parts. When finished/tested/added . . Gwydion the scoundrel will have a 65% chance to drop a scroll with instructions and a 'Rock Buster' to help you dig into one of his random treasure pits. With luck this will be finished in a few days.
Yes . . I know . . but reward always comes with risk in our world. *grins*

Okay this Quest is back up and running. There have been two changes/additions:
1) The bug that caused the shard to crash earlier today has been fixed.
2) The second part of the quest is now in place. When you slay Gwydion there is a 65% chance you will obtain a scroll of instructions to a hidden hole to one of his Loot stashes. If this happens you will also get one of his Rock Busters to help you clear an opening to the hole.
Beware . . Gwydion does not leave his treasures unattended.

So the Windsong Bow drops from Gwydion and not the bonus mob from the bonus loot using the Rock Buster?

I have a windsong bow. I did not do that quest to get it. It was dropped in Covetous Dungeon in a chest. Yesterday.

There's a difference between the Windsong bow and the Elven Windsong Bow. The Elven version is much more powerful.
