I am having trouble finding a book of bushido to train my skill up. According to the UO Website, "Book of Bushido (purchased from Tokuno Islands scribe NPCs or looted from Ronin)" I checked the scribes and cannot find one for sale. I am also unable to kill a Ronin. Where they are placed, a new character like mine with GM Swords, resist, Archery, Anatomy and 116 str. with 109 life cannot survive. I die pretty easy. I am wearing all plate armor and have a thin longsword and heater shield. Any advice on how to get the book of bushido so I can train it up to GM would be nice. Thanks for any advice moving forward with the Bushido also. What to train on at what level was available on the UO webpage.

I agree some things can be hard to get. This includes a full spellbook for new mages.
Books of Ninjitsu drop randomly when you (or a friend) kill an Elite Ninja.
Books of Bushido drop randomly when you (or a friend) kill a Ronin.
Note: You can try the above . . or you can buy one from another player . . or you can make a new character choosing the Ninja or Samurai template. Those templates drop the books as starter equipment. After you get the book you can delete the character seven days later if you do not want it.

I have acquired the book you are looking for.
As for training; 0 - 30: Train at NPC Samurai in Zento. 30 - 60: Cast Confidence. 60 - 75: Cast Counter Attack. 75 - 105: Cast Evasion. 105 - 120: Cast Momentum Strike. Note: If you are on a murderer, you will have to use a Soulstone or get some jewelry to raise your skill to 25. You cannot train Bushido from below 25 skill.
The book is on my vendor in Arete for a nominal fee, look for Moscovitch. When you see me online, I will reimburse the cost.

I found your house Whistler. Moscovitch the NPC inside has nothing for sale. Someone must have beat me to it. I will just create a samurai character, get the book and delete the character. Thanks for the offers.

I learned the lesson the hard way too. On transactions like this one it is often . . "PMs for the win".
Thank you whistler for being your usual helpful self. The community appreciates it. On the bright side - you no doubt helped two others needing the book as well. *smiles*

The idea of creating a samurai character, getting the book of bushido, and deleting the character has a snag. The book of bushido is blessed. I would need a special spellbook container or something. I cannot place the book into a shared chest in my house. The struggle continues.

Scribes can make Spellbook containers as well as Runebook containers. These are typically used to reduce Main Pack clutter but would also serve your purpose. Maybe one of the crafters here could help you *grins*

locking it on the floor works too . And hunting ronins and ninjas ... well I dislike tokuno so I do not do that often but I may have a spare book if you still need one

Cannot place the book on the floor or drop it anywhere. I will inquire about the spellbook containers. Thanks again everyone.

I am probably too stupid to know how your vendor works. I got the book elsewhere and am training. Thanks for the help. If your vendor is Mascovich, when I click on him it gives me the option of opening his paperdoll. That is it. I don't know how to buy or sell to a paperdoll. New guy problem of mine I guess.

I click on him it gives me the option of opening his paperdoll. That is it. I don't know how to buy or sell to a paperdoll. New guy problem of mine I guess. 1) Select the 'option' to open the vendors paperdoll. 2) On the open paperdoll - DBL Click the vendors backpack to open it. 3) Look at the various items offered. 4) Click and select the 'Buy' option to get the item. Note: pay attention to the price *hehe*
