Anyone got any idea on how to train stealing in trammel?

there's a way to do it in trammel that involves the old packhorse method, but you have to be in a guild for it to work. a lot easier is to go to arete isle, and go to the gypsy camp, and steal out of the crates there.

There are containers in the Gypsy camp that you can steal from. When you steal the item the gypsies will steaal it back and put it back in the container

Quick question(sorry, i always played melee and never a thief)... is there any reason to take stealing to 120 vs 100, especially on this shard. I know the skill value defined how much weight you could steal, is that the same here?

The higher the Stealing skill the more Hidden items you will be able to reveal to steal. There are many you will never get to see if you stop at 100.

Has anyone figured out a way to Macro stealing in the Arete Gypsy Camp? I can steal the items in the chests, but when I try to run a macro from Razor/UOSteam, etc. it won't recognize the item in a container.
I don't want to sit there for hours upon hours just clicking the button.
Any help is appreciated.

Here is the Razor macro I used when testing the barrels in the Arete Isle Gypsy camp.
So . . open the container with item to steal then run this macro:
UseSkill Stealing
Pause .50sec
Target by Type plate helm(1439)
Pause 8.00sec
Loop
Note:
1) Make sure you change the 'plate helm line to 'Target by Type' so it does not look for the last item you stole.
2) You do not need to move stolen items to your trash to lighten your load because the stealables in the gypsy camp auto delete themselves.
3) You will have to redo the Macro if at some point you want to begin stealing a different type of item or move to a different barrel.
I tested this macro again today and it still works fine.

Side note: just waiting on a CPU being delivered and I'm ready to go again!

It's weird, It will steal the item a few times, then it will say it's too far away then it will start to steal the item again. I guess just let it run; it will ebb and flow but eventually get the gains I want - Hopefully...
Thanks for the help.. Seems some of the other programs don't like to steal from inside containers...

I macroed for 1 hr, 45 minutes while I watched a movie. had 0.5 gain. I will let this run over night and report back how many gains I have. I'm currently stealing a female breast plate at 8 stones. The 9 stone plate armor was causing too many failed attempts.
Edit #2 - let it run over night. Got 4.7 more gains. So, the gains are working, just odd how it trades between too far away and being able to be stolen. Regardless, everything seems to be working.
