Hello everyone,
I just wanted to get your input as I begin to mark runes for the new Rune book library in the new village of North Minoc.
I'm not entirely sure how i should catalogue the towns/shops.
Would it make more sense to have rune books labelled as the shop name & then listed under each would be the different towns location
OR
would it make more sense to have rune books specifically for each town with all the variety of shops for that town under one book?
...
My natural temptation is to go for shops however I believe this would take up more runebook space in the library due to there being around 23 or so towns, some towns housing more than one shop meaning roughly 2 rune books per shop type.
...
I would really love your influence on this so let me know!

Hmmmm dilemma dilemma!
I tend to shop by type if I need something, so my personal preference would be per shop type. However, I have my favourite towns that I prefer to go shopping in so per township also makes sense
And I'm sure that response doesn't help you at all *grins*
I guess your decision will come down to what space you have to accommodate the rune library. Perhaps that will have to guide your final decision . . .
PS: If I can help you mark spots, please let me know! My family is happy to assist and 'twill be good magery training for some of them too :-)

Hey!
Thank you, your input is definitely valuable!
I spoke with Amairgen too & we all seem to agree with going by shop type as a preferred method so that is how I expect it will proceed. Space isn't a major issue right now as there's potential to shift things about & make more room if necessary.
Thank you for your offer to mark some runes down too! I will have the towns down no problem but there will be many runes to be done still.
The most fun will be hunting all the stealables! There are over 200!!
If you know of any already, please do feel free to donate a copy of the location at the library. There is an anyone access drop box atm in the North Minoc Library where you would be able to deposit any runes that you think would be worth adding!
Thank you!

There is one in particular that i'm struggling to finish actually & that is the mythril ore. I have copied what I can from the green dragon inn library & have added some of my own but I've struggled to find much of it. I have found more than 1 full runebook of the other ores but mythril seems scarce. There is only plans to have 1 available runebook for each ore type though too, as there could end up being 50 runebooks just on ore.
I also have no intention to mark runes for lumberjacking wood variants as of right now but I might add this later. Are trees like ore spots & always stay as the same wood type or do they change? I've not got a huge amount of experience with lumberjacking & personally just use the tree seeds in the north minoc castle to grab around 30 logs every few hours.

Peregrine's mining skill isn't quite at the mythril level yet so she hasn't come across any of those spots but i'll keep it in mind for when she does
Stealables . . . I have close to 4 rune books of spots so far and found 2 new ones last night so I may be able to help you out there. You really won't want double-ups though so i'll swing by sometime and see if I can add to this for you
L/Jacking . . . I personally don't see these spots as necessary except for the ancient trees that have a chance of dropping the runic tools perhaps? Having said that though, I haven't come across any ancients on my travels as yet outside of your village and the taxwood trees on the Bowcraft quest island

Wow! 4 Runesbooks on stealing! That's quite a hunt you've been on. It will be interesting to compare notes as I've currently managed to get 2 books just as i wander through a few spots marking runes. Hopefully i will manage to unveil all of the town spots by the time I have finished the shop books.
I'm not sure about the l/j ancient tree thing but I know you can get them from the living trees near tartarus yew & also by grimswind ruins if you hadn't been hunting there yet.

The 'Hidden' stealables are on every facet except Tartarus. Also some are in dangerous locations including dungeons.

I finally found the one i've been looking for today - the lamp post. All thanks to your tweak in the system. I'm even more excited to discover them now! Once these shop rune books are done (almost finished) I will be hunting them all!!!

Library UPDATE: Shops list is complete & in the library, ores have now moved to the rear of the lower floor library room & quests have moved to the upstairs library room. A small catalogue (III) volumes have been added on stealables at the rear of the lower floor library however these are yet to be alphabetized (this will happen once more have been found). COMING SOON: - Moongates - Dungeons - Mythril Mining Book - Graveyards - Points of Interest - Misc Resource Gathering Locations (currently there are some resource locations in the 'farms' library book). - Peerless Dungeon Runes / Quest runes. NOTE: If you notice any runes that do not work as they should, or any runes that are missing, please let me know. As I marked them all together & over the course of several days there may be one or two that are labelled wrong or in a dodgy spot as I've not tested them yet & i'm only half robot Human.

Hey! The Runebook Library is located in the Tavern in North Minoc, not in my house. There is a magical gate in the Arete marketplace that will take you straight there if you're unsure! The library in the moving castle basement will be my personal library for Tartarus runebooks [as you cannot recall to tartarus from trammel]. --- Also, just a quick one, it might take a week or so to get some major additions to the library just due to being super busy with work this coming week. I'll do my best when I can though!

Got it. Thankyou!
I like the addition of the T-Map Stone there too. I have started my own T-Map rune book library using the stone in the Arete Library so this gives Peregrine another option. Nice . . .
Thanks for all your hard work - and Amairgen too - in getting this up and running. I love the idea of community villages and this is being set up well and in an interesting manner :-)

Update:
Fully hunted town & dungeon stealables now.
Dungeon stealables cannot be rune-marked therefore there is a rough guide above the stealable runebooks in the library offering a rough guide on where to find which stealable - if you so choose.
Beware, heavy spoilers!
